Our Winter Collection is inspired by the coldest season. Both our Winter and Holiday Collections dropped early this year because 1) the holidays can get a little crazy and 2) better to usher in that crazy season with some beautiful scents, don’t you think? These scents will take you seamlessly from Thanksgiving into the decking the halls.
Artwork for this Winter Collection was created by Shelbey Tharpe. Her acrylic work on this label set is meant to show the simple beauty of winter. Cool blues, soft whites, and warm pink/orange, when paired with the white glass jar, gently glows when the candle is lit. It’s the perfect candle set for the season!
Winter brings some of the best holidays, fun indoor and outdoor activities, and a reason to celebrate. With more time spent inside, why not light a Pittsburgh Candle Works candle and prepare for the new season! Fan favorites are returning, and some new scents that are sure to be a pleasant surprise. We are winter-ready with our Winter Collection!
My favorite part of a Pittsburgh wedding or Christmas celebration is the cookies, of course! This candle is true to life and brings the best kind of bakery fragrance to your home. Baking cookies is a fun holiday tradition; Cookie Table helps you achieve that favorite smell without any of the cleanup!
I wanted this candle to have those noticeable sweet notes without going overboard. One of our reviewers said just this, that they’re not a fan of sweet smells but “this literally has changed my mind. It’s not too sweet and has just the right amount of cookie.” The perfect balance for your home.
Top Note (the first scent when you open the jar): Ginger
Middle Note (what you smell when the candle is burning): Cream, Butter, Graham Cracker, Sugar
Base Note (the scent that lingers in a room after burning): Cinnamon, Clove
Cookie Table might just be for you if you’re a fan of sweeter, bakery type scents. This candle smells like stepping into your grandmother’s house at the holidays. So good, we keep bringing it back.
This scent, y’all. It’s so good! It smells clean and bright, like fresh fallen snow. One of our stronger fragrances, this is also a favorite. One user wrote on our Instagram that it is their all-time favorite. In fact, it’s so good that we used it for our Advent Candle Set.
The Iceburg is a cooling fragrance that fills a room with pure winter delight. Even when it is not lit, you can easily catch a whiff when walking past.
Top Note (the first scent when you open the jar): Ozone, Camphor, Citrus
Middle Note (what you smell when the candle is burning): Pine, Red Currant, Berry, Pear, Cherry Blossom
Base Note (the scent that lingers in a room after burning): Juniper, Sage
I burn The Iceburg all year round at my house. I’m sure once you smell it for yourself, you’ll understand why.
You can purchase it alone, in the Winter Collection Sample Pack, or in the Winter Candle Pack, a 3-candle pack with full-sized Winter favorites. Buy one for a friend as a gift or keep it as a gift to yourself.
Who loves pine scents? This was a new one for us in 2020, and boy is it good! This sophisticated pine scent smells like a freshly cut pine tree was brought straight to your home from the woods.
This candle does especially well for those who opt for a plastic kind of Christmas tree. Now, you can enjoy the scents of a fresh tree without actually needing to purchase one.
Top Note (the first scent when you open the jar): Lemon Peel, Cypress
Middle Note (what you smell when the candle is burning): Evergreen, Cedar
Base Note (the scent that lingers in a room after burning): Fir, Amber, Moss
This medium-strength candle is perfect for those who want a more polished pine scent. The lemon peel top note softens the pine and wins over even pine-scent skeptics. Use it as a holiday gift this season or enjoy it for yourself.
If you like our Rosemary + Sage or Good Neighbor scents, then you will like Winter Pine as well. It can be purchased alone, in the Winter Collection Sample Pack, or in the Pine Candle Pack, a 3-candle pack with full-sized Pine favorites.
Cypress + Bayberry is our spicy pine scent. Perfect for those who want to take a light tree scent but make it holiday-ready.
Cozy and comforting, this scent elevates a traditional pine and works for even skeptics. Ann wrote a 5-star review, saying, “I don’t usually choose ‘tree’ scents (pine, etc), but this is a lovely combination of pine trees and garland along with winter berries. Not overpowering, but really feels like the holidays.”
Top Note (the first scent when you open the jar): Eucalyptus
Middle Note (what you smell when the candle is burning): Cypress, Moss, Bayberry
Base Note (the scent that lingers in a room after burning): Incense, Patchouli, Fir
This scent complements Christmas music, holiday traditions, and tree trimming. Enjoy it in your home, office, or wherever you light your candles soon!
A fan-favorite side dish turned into a delicious-smelling candle sounds like a great final Winter Collection option to me! This candle blends those scents you’d expect from cranberry sauce: tart cranberries and juicy apples mixed with orange peel and spice. Spiced Cranberry candles highlight a lovely fruit fragrance perfect for the winter season.
It’s fruity without being too sweet, making it the perfect addition to your holiday dining table or party. If you like cranberry scent or flavor, you’re sure to like Spiced Cranberry.
Top Note (the first scent when you open the jar): Orange Peel, Apple
Middle Note (what you smell when the candle is burning): Cranberry, Cinnamon, Sugar
Base Note (the scent that lingers in a room after burning): Clove, Wood
Distinct notes of fruit and spice are found in this candle, without either being too overpowering. It’s the perfect candle to light as you’re decorating the Christmas tree, reading in its glow, or preparing holiday plans.
Before you go…
I carefully designed the Winter Collection candles with scents you’ll love all season long. Pair beautiful scents with another great Shelbey Tharpe design, and these candles work well in any wintertime home.
When I think of winter, I think of the many ways we spend time indoors. The weather gets colder, and days get shorter, so we create more memories indoors. Candles are one way to brighten this heightened time inside. Our Winter Collection candles contribute to a fun holiday atmosphere – even if you haven’t quite finished putting up those decorations.
